“As a small-towngirl from Penang, I was especially enamoured by SMU’s beautiful city campus and accessibility to major firms and companies that frequent the university during career fairs. SMU provides great career guidance and opportunities to network, so if you are thinking of enrolling as an international student, it is definitely worth it.”

What has been the highlight of your student life at SMU so far?

Definitely, the vibrant student communities that cater to all forms of hobbies and interests. I love writing so being part of 2 writing clubs is pretty much living the dream for me. Writing articles whilst being sponsored to attend exciting art and history events across Singapore (such as anime festivals, heritage trails, and concerts) was by far the most memorable part of my SMU journey.

What is your favourite thing to do in Singapore?

It is a draw between finding cheap and good quality buffets across the country and visiting the National Museum which is right next to the school of accountancy.

What is the most “Singaporean” habit you have picked up?

I’m starting to slip ‘sia’ into my sentences without realising it.
