“Transitioning from Polytechnic to University was a big struggle for me when I first entered SMU but it has been really heart-warming to see how the people here (from the professors and admissions staff to fellow students) are so approachable and friendly to help you and go the extra mile for you if needed.”

Please share your internship experience.

I did 2 marketing internships (Lion City Rental & GetGo), both in the automobile industry. Fresh in the corporate society, I gained valuable soft skills and hard skills, especially towards marketing analytics that I have always been interested in. The internships also allowed me to glimpse into the work of a marketing executive in a corporate setting which made the experience really enriching and meaningful.

What is your favourite spot on campus?

The group study rooms around the school! The environment is clean and comfortable and they are really conducive for students to study 😊

Name your favourite class/mod at SMU.

Management Accounting! I like that it was a mod that involves a lot of numbers and Prof Wong Suay Peng was very encouraging and passionate in teaching us, which made the experience much more enjoyable!
