About the Award
Established in 2021, the Michael Zhu Inspire Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed at motivating outstanding undergraduates with demonstrated financial need to achieve academic excellence and to accord recognition to the recipients for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates enrolled in the Lee Kong Chian School of Business
- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Good academic results with minimum CGPA in line with SMU's prevailing guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership and communications skills with record of co-curricular activity and/or community service involvement
- Demonstrated interest in the topic of sustainability either through enrolling in sustainability-related courses offered at SMU and/or participating in sustainability-themed activities/clubs
- Demonstrated financial needs with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries. (may be periodically revised)
Benefits
- $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only)
