About the Award

Established in 2014, the Pilot Pen Community Champion Award Scheme aims to recognise outstanding contributions to the community-at-large and dedication of full-time undergraduate students at the Singapore Management University.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Making active and significant contributions impacting any of the following six beneficiary groups in Singapore:
    • Disability
    • Elderly Issues
    • Youths-at-Risk
    • Low-Income Families / Single-Parent Families
    • Environmental Advocacy
    • Mental Health Issues
  • Have outstanding CCA/community service contributions with proven leadership qualities
  • Possess good character records
  • Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial needs

The awards will only be given if there are candidates of sufficient merit.

Certificate and $1,500 Cash Prize

Application

  • Applications will be invited in Term 2 annually.
  • Interested applicants must provide documentary evidence in support of fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

The Pilot Pen Community Champion Award is a joint initiative by Pilot Pen (S) Pte Ltd and Singapore Management University. Set-up in 1985, Pilot Pen (S) Pte Ltd has since established itself as the leading brand of disposable writing instruments in the country.
