“Before coming to SMU, I was a shy girl who had no self-confidence and willingness to lead. However, SMU has allowed me to not only discover my potential but also pushed me out of my comfort zone to become the best version of myself.”

What has been the highlight of your student life at SMU so far?

The Bidding process. Some people may consider Bidding as a situation they want to just get done and move on but to me, it is an eye-opening experience and a key highlight of my university life because no other place could offer this experience. Bidding is a strategic, emotional, mental, and physical game; it requires you to think and act fast and make the best decision while keeping your cool at the same time.

What is your favourite local food/dish?

A local dish that I often have is Mala. Be it Mala Xiang Guo or Mala tang, I absolutely enjoy the spiciness and numbing flavour as well as the fact that you can share it with your friends.

What is your favourite spot on campus?

I truly feel that all SMU facilities are adequate as the school puts a lot of care into maintaining and upgrading the facilities. However, the spot that I spend the most time at would be the Kwa Geok Choo Law Library.
