“You will have a great time at university if you make the most of it! Make friends, join CCAs, and participate actively in class and in group projects! Don’t forget to call your parents.”

Please share a highlight of your student life at SMU so far.

Staying in PSR has been a highlight for me because I get to meet a lot of new people. I have met other Hong Kong students for the first time at PSR and it is great to be able to chat with them in Cantonese.

What is your favourite thing to do around Singapore?

I really like grocery shopping because it helps me relieve stress. My goal is to visit the largest Giant store in Singapore before I graduate.

What is the most “Singaporean” habit you’ve picked up?

I can’t go anywhere without a drink now! There is something about going to class with a drink from Bober (Bubble Tea) that makes you feel productive, even when you are not. It is like an (undeserved) reward for working hard.
