“I chose to do a second major in Data Science and Analytics as I was interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. With the power of analytics, we can make full use of data to gather meaningful insights. Additionally, the major in Data Science and Analytics provides me with a good foundation in statistics should I choose to pursue further studies after my undergraduate degree.”

Have you had any international experiences at SMU so far?

I am currently doing my International Student Exchange Programme in Canada and I am loving every moment of the experience!

What is your favourite spot on campus?

I love using the project rooms at the Li Ka Shing Library. It has a television which you can easily connect to your laptop. It is ideal for group project discussions. Some rooms even have a video conferencing system which is ideal for hybrid meet ups.

What is the one thing you wish more people knew about SMU?

SMU provides students with various opportunities to interact with corporate clients, from SMU-X modules to SMU UOB AEI projects to final year projects and many more! These opportunities help students gain a glimpse of what life is like after graduation.

In 1-2 sentences, summarize how SMU has changed you for the better!

SMU has prepared me to be a more outspoken individual. The SMU community also provides a lot of opportunities to grow, learn and lead!
