Working adults who did not previously have the opportunity to obtain an undergraduate degree can now benefit from a world-class university education through the enhanced Elevate @ SMU scheme.
Students admitted under the Elevate @ SMU programme will take their full-time undergraduate degree programme together with other SMU undergraduates. They will also have access to additional benefits and support measures, such as university integration programmes, personalised academic counselling, an enhanced peer support network, and more. Elevate @ SMU students with relevant work experience and professional achievements are eligible for additional course exemptions.

“Overall, I think SMU is a lot more adult learner friendly compared to other offerings. Previously, I was invited for focus group discussions specifically targeting us adult learners. I never thought I would be asked to join such a session as I honestly do not think that any educational institution in Singapore cares about us. We are definitely not the ’model student’ that an education institution wants to feature, so it feels really nice to feel heard and valued here in SMU.”
