100% of SMU classes are small-sized seminar-style classes – with no more than 45 students in each class!
Debate and discussions are the cornerstone of the SMU academic experience. When students engage actively and think on their feet, they will become better and more effective communicators. This prepares them well for any career pathway they embark on after graduating from SMU.

Every SMU student is guaranteed a second major if they choose to do one. No pre-requisites, no GPA requirement!
SMU students only have to choose their majors at the end of their second year in SMU. They have 2 years to explore the various majors offered by the six different SMU schools and figure out what they would like to specialize in!
