About the Award

The Excellence Award in Applied Statistics Major, supported by contributions from the faculty members of School of Economics (SOE) at the Singapore Management University, is given annually to recognise outstanding graduating students in any degree programme with declared Second Major in Applied Statistics.  The award is aimed at motivating SMU students to aspire for greater heights of excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

The award will be given annually to the student who best meets the following eligibility criteria:

  • Graduating students from any degree programme with declared Second Major in Applied Statistics
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6
  • Minimum average GPA of 3.6 for required courses in the Statistics Major
  • Preference for student with active involvement in CCA or activities related to the Applied Statistics Major
  • Preference for student with active leadership roles in the student community

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Certificate and $1,000 Cash Prize

Application

Recipient will be determined by SOE.
