GRIT Award for Top Year 2 Economics Student

About the Awards

Established in 2026, the objective of the Award is to motivate exceptional students at the University and spur them to greater heights of academic excellence. It will provide recognition to the top Year 2 student at the School of Economics (“SOE”) at the University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The top student shall be a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree programme at the School of Economics (SOE) of the University
  • The Award will be awarded to the top student with the highest cumulative GPA at the end of their second year of studies

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit

Benefits

Cash Prize each S$3,040

Application

Recipients will be determined by SOE.

Through this Top Student Award, the donor seeks to recognise second-year Economics students who have demonstrated grit and excellence at a pivotal midpoint of their undergraduate journey. Beyond financial recognition, the donor is keen to offer personal mentorship and guidance, fostering a community of promising students majoring in economics who are encouraged to support one another and, in time, give back to future generations.
