About the Financial Award
Established in 2022, the FMAS Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed at motivating and encouraging students who have taken a major in Finance and/or Quantitative Finance to achieve greater heights of academic and practical excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business with major in Finance and/or Quantitative Finance.
- Any nationality (preference for Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident)
- Good academic achievements (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00) and leadership skills
- Priority for students with evidence of financial hardship (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $15,518 (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance (Singapore Citizens only), subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.

Formed in 1972, the Financial Markets Association of Singapore (FMAS) is the standard bearer for financial markets' professionals in Singapore. Our history has been inextricably linked to Singapore's emergence as a leading financial centre in the world. We are affiliated to ACI - The Financial Markets Association (ACI FMA), a Paris-based global umbrella body of financial markets associations.
FMAS is pleased to be able to help the less fortunate in our society. This scholarship is an extension of the FMAS' desire to motivate and encourage undergraduate students in SMU to achieve greater heights of academic and practical excellence. We hope that in the future, recipients of this scholarship will learn to pay forward and help others who are less privileged.
