About the Financial Award

Established in 2022, the JLFO-Lim Hoon Foundation Scholarship is to support undergraduates with demonstrated financial needs to achieve academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition for their accomplishments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time incoming freshman enrolled in the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Accountancy, School of Economics, School of Social Sciences or School of Computing and Information Systems with at least 1 recipient coming from SOSS each year.
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Possess demonstrated leadership potential
  • Demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries).

Benefits

  • $10,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
  • Tenable for up to 4 years of study, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award
  • Singaporean students may apply for government bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria

Special consideration is given to applicants with financial needs. After you have submitted your admission application. You are required to submit a separate bursary application form via the Applicant’s Self Service from 1 January 1 to 31 May

The Donor is the private charitable trust of the JL Family Office.
