About the Financial Award
Established in 2024, the Lionel Goh & Cindy Lim Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. It aims to encourage bright undergraduates to aspire for academic excellence in spite of adversity and financial hardship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
- Any nationality
- With demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $8,500 per year (towards subsidised tuition fee)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor
The Lionel Goh & Cindy Lim Study Award is established by Lionel Goh, Director of Basic Capital Pte Ltd. He hopes that the Study Award will empower future generations to overcome their obstacles and achieve their fullest potential, and in turn build a better society for all.
