About the Financial Award

Established in 2022, the SMU Endeavour Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed to encourage bright undergraduates at the University to aspire for academic excellence in spite of adversity and financial hardship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time first year undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Experienced financial hardships in the family (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $10,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
  • Tenable for up to four years of study, subject to the recipient’s continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only)

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor

The SMU Endeavour Study Award is made possible by a generous and anonymous donor. 

The donor hopes that the Study Award will provide financial support for students from less privileged backgrounds and help alleviate their financial hardship. She hopes her giving will also motivate the students to excel in their studies.
