About the Donor

Having benefited from the remarkable growth of Singapore’s banking industry, the donor expresses deep gratitude for a successful career. Inspired to share these blessings, the donor is committed to investing in the long-term future of humanity. The donor strongly believes education is a powerful force for social mobility, creating a world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and lead a fulfilling life. For the donor, the true purpose of life lies in making meaningful contributions to society rather than simply accumulating wealth.

This Study Award, specifically for undergraduates at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, is established to alleviate the financial and emotional burdens faced by students from less privileged backgrounds. The donor's intention is to enable the recipients to better focus and benefit from SMU education. The donor firmly believes that a good all-around education in business administration lays the foundation for success in any chosen career path. This gift is an investment not only in the recipients but also in the positive ripple effects they will have on society.
