About the Financial Award

Established in 2025, the Justice, Mercy, Humility Overseas Internship Grant is available to full-time Yong Pung How School of Law undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  The purpose of the internship grant is to support full-time undergraduates at the Yong Pung How School of Law of the University, with demonstrated financial needs, to embark on overseas internship opportunities in order to allow them to have a more well-rounded worldview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduate students at the Yong Pung How School of Law
  • Demonstrated financial need in line with MOE’s prevailing criteria throughout the tenure of the internship grant

Tenure and Benefits

  • $1,700 each (in Asia)
  • $4,000 each (countries outside Asia) 
  • Cash allowance to cover internship-related expenses including air tickets, accommodation, living expenses, visa, insurance, health check-ups/vaccines, and/or study related expenses, as determined by the University.
  • Tenable for one semester of 2 to 4 weeks of overseas internship

Conditions of Award

  • The Recipient must submit a bursary application to validate their household income
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
