About the Financial Award

The eMpowering Youths programme, funded by Maybank Foundation, is aimed at nurturing ASEAN’s future leaders who demonstrate strong understanding of the cultures and poverty issues in the region.  The grant is available to SMU undergraduates who are passionate about social innovation to build healthier communities and address social problems with sustained solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Group-based community service projects that have been approved by Centre for Social Responsibility
  • Projects that aim to reduce poverty and empower ASEAN community through initiatives that deliver tangible long-term impact socially and economically 

Tenure and Benefits

60% of total project cost subject to a maximum of $30,000.
