About the Financial Award
Established in 2024, the objective of the SMU Fortitude Scholarship is to motivate outstanding and deserving undergraduate students at the School of Computing and Information Systems to spur them on greater heights of academic excellence, and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients of the Scholarship for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time incoming freshman enrolled in the School of Computing and Information Systems
- Singapore Citizen
- Students shall possess outstanding academic results in line with existing and prevailing University guidelines
- Demonstrated leadership and communications skills with record of CCA and/or community service involvement
- Preference for candidates with demonstrated evidence of family household income where the gross monthly per capita income is in accordance with prevailing Singapore Ministry of Education guidelines
Benefits
- $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for 4 academic years, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award
Conditions of Award
- May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
- Scholarship is bond-free
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Special consideration is given to applicants with financial needs. After you have submitted your admission application. You are required to submit a separate bursary application form via the Applicant’s Self Service from 1 January 1 to 31 May
