Why did you choose to come to SMU?

Just like many of my peers, I encountered the common dilemma of choosing the right university for me. However, what ultimately drew me to SMU were its distinctive learning pedagogy and adaptable curriculum, the abundance of opportunities to push beyond my comfort zone, and the opportunity to benefit from a robust alumni network. I firmly believed that SMU would serve as the perfect platform for fostering my confidence and preparing me to tackle the challenges of today's ever-changing and volatile world.

Furthermore, I am a big fan of the autonomy and independence that SMU gives us to chart our own journey. From curating our own timetables to deciding which CCAs to join and when to take on internships, SMU has provided us with a paintbrush to draw whatever we want on a plain canvas!

Why did you choose your field of study / degree programme?

Funny story – I had actually chosen my courses by the sheer virtue of them being in alphabetical order but I chose to study Accountancy and Business because it's a field that genuinely excites me and aligns perfectly with my aspirations in life. I've always been fascinated by numbers and how the different functions in a businesses co-ordinate to ensure successful operations, so the degree programmes were a clear choice!

What is your favourite food to get on campus?

Got to be either King Kong Curry Rice at Connexion or Taliwang at SOE!
