“All the professors I've met in SMU until now are generous, talented and incredibly supportive. The best thing about SMU is that it is the only public university in Singapore located in the central area, so if you like the hustle and bustle of the city, SMU would be a perfect match.”

Please share a highlight of your student life at SMU.

Last semester, I told my professor politely that due to my mentality, I found it difficult to participate in class discussions and Class Participation in class, so asked if I could email him my thoughts after class.  He did not just allow me to do so but also assured me that this could happen to anyone, shared with me his experience, and gave me some tips to handle it. I was so touched and thought I should try better in overcoming my problem the next time.

What is your favourite thing to do in Singapore?

I love walking from school to Merlion Park for a workout! It takes only about 20 minutes. The scenery is a stunning masterpiece while I exercise and it is not so hot at night.

What is the most “Singaporean” habit you’ve picked up?

I like to use the Singlish suffix, like "Thank you ah!". It makes me feel more intimate with people and even sounds cute.
