Alvin Yeo WongPartnership Scholarship

Established in 2026, The purpose of the Alvin Yeo WongPartnership Scholarship is to motivate outstanding undergraduates at the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL) of the University to achieve academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients of the Scholarship for their accomplishments.

• Full-time undergraduate student enrolled at the Yong Pung How School of Law who will be in Year 2 of study in the year of award
• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
• Possessed good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40)

• $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
• Tenable for 1 year

• Singaporean students may be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
• The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Alvin Yeo co-founded WongPartnership in 1992, with Wong Meng Meng SC and others. A luminary in his field, he became the Firm's Managing Partner and subsequently the firm’s Chairman and Senior Partner. WongPartnership today bears the hallmarks of his brilliance, dedication and vision. Alvin was inspiring in more ways than one – in his work, community and personal life. To honour and remember him, WongPartnership has set up the Alvin Yeo WongPartnership Memorial Fund. Alvin was a passionate believer in the power of education, and as such, proceeds from the Fund will go towards establishing the Alvin Yeo WongPartnership Scholarship which is intended to motivate outstanding undergraduates at the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL) of the University to achieve greater academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients for their accomplishments.
