Ian R. Taylor Asia Scholarship

About the Financial Award

Established in 2021, the Ian R. Taylor Asia Scholarship is available to outstanding freshmen commencing their education at the Singapore Management University. The objective is to provide equal access to education and to nurture them to be creative, reflective global citizens and future leaders devoted to creating meaningful impact in business and society.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time incoming freshmen enrolled in any degree programmes
  • Singapore PRs and International Students who are citizens of South Asia (Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives) or Emerging Asia (China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam)
  • Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40)
  • Active involvement in co-curricular and/or community service activities.
  • Recipient must take up tuition grant for subsidised tuition fees offered by Singapore’s Ministry of Education, in addition to the Scholarship.

Benefits

  • Total value up to $207,000 (towards subsidised tuition fees, study-related expenses and provisions for University-approved overseas student programmes).
  • Tenable for up to 4 years of the recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.

Conditions of Award

The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
