About the Donor

Openspace Multidisciplinary Scholarship is established to support undergraduates at Singapore Management University who demonstrate the courage to think independently, cross boundaries, and pursue ideas that do not fit neatly into a single discipline. The scholarship seeks students who are not merely high achievers, but builders — those prepared to challenge convention, take intelligent risks, and create value at the intersection of fields.

The Donor, Hian Goh, believes that Singapore’s next chapter will be written by individuals who combine creativity with execution, conviction with adaptability. As an entrepreneur and investor, he has spent his career backing people who dare to imagine alternatives to the status quo — and who possess the resilience to bring those alternatives into reality. Through this scholarship, he hopes to empower students to step beyond safe paths, embrace multidisciplinary exploration, and cultivate the courage required to shape a more dynamic and inventive Singapore.
