About the Donor
The Sohmen-Pao Foundation was established in Singapore by the Sohmen-Pao family with a mission to invest in talent for a better society. The Foundation provides funding and support to enable individuals to develop their capabilities and apply them in service of their communities, with a particular emphasis on education and on creating opportunities for those who lack the resources to pursue their ambitions.
The Foundation’s support for SMU is rooted in a strong belief in the lifelong value of international exposure. Through this funding, the Foundation seeks to broaden the global outlook and cross-cultural experiences of Singaporean students, while also supporting international students to benefit from Singapore’s leading universities and become ambassadors for Singapore.
