About the Financial Award
Established in 2021, the Acre Capital Scholarship is available to full-time Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed at providing assistance to full-time undergraduates to aspire for greater heights of excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates in any year of study and enrolled in any degree programme
- Singapore Citizens
- Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Active involvement and/or leadership positions in SMU-Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) investment club at SMU
- Preference for students with demonstrated family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $12,000 (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
Learning and Development Opportunities
Recipients may be offered mentorship by the Donor and his alumni network subject to alignment of career interests or academic pursuits in the investments/financial sectors.

- Shortlisted applicants are required to submit a 4-page equity research report and financial model.
- Interview is required of shortlisted applicants.

The Acre Capital Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduates with a strong interest in Finance, of good character and work ethic at the Singapore Management University. It aims to develop next-generation talent in the finance industry not only in their technical abilities but also a sense of responsibility for the community.
