About the Financial Award
Established in 2014, the Aljunied Study Grant is aimed at assisting needy full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University and to motivate them to achieve all-round excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
- Any nationality
- Gross monthly per capita household income not exceeding $1,700 or evidence of family financial difficulties [Priority will be given to students with verified per capita income (PCI) and/or Gross Household Income (GHI)]
Benefits
- $2,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for one year of study
Conditions of Award
- The Recipient must submit a bursary application to validate their household income
- The Recipient may be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
- The Recipient in receipt of a scholarship, study award or bursary may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor
The Aljunied Study Grant is made possible by Mr Syed Abdel Nasser Bin Syed Hassan Aljunied to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates at SMU. With the Study Grant, he hopes to inspire SMU students to strive for all-round excellence and achieve their fullest potential.
