About the Financial Award
Established in 2014, the Aljunied Study Grant is aimed at assisting needy full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University and to motivate them to achieve all-round excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
- Any nationality
- Gross monthly per capita household income not exceeding $1,700 or evidence of family financial difficulties.
- A student in receipt of a scholarship, study award or bursary may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Benefits
- $1,500 per annum (towards annual subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

The Aljunied Study Grant is made possible by Mr Syed Abdel Nasser Bin Syed Hassan Aljunied to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates at SMU. With the Study Grant, he hopes to inspire SMU students to strive for all-round excellence and achieve their fullest potential.
