Mrs Maria Victoria Jose Cuisia is the third among the six children of Mr Domingo Santiago Jose and Mrs Emilia Del Rosario Jose. Vicky, as she is known to her family and friends, is married to former Philippine Ambassador to the US, Jose L Cuisia, Jr. She obtained her undergraduate degree from St. Theresa’s College (STCQC) in Quezon City, Manila, and furthered her studies in Real Estate Management from New York University in the US before returning to the Philippines in 1972 she assumed management responsibility of their family-owned business, Domel Realty Development Co. Inc.

In 2016, she was awarded the Global FWN 100 (The 100 Most Influential Filipinas in the World Award) honoring Filipina Women who are changing the face of leadership in their local communities and the global arena. In 2019, STCQC Alumnae Association recognised Vicky as a Teresa Light Awardee, accorded to Theresians who have made extraordinary contributions to society through their works and who have been a constant blessing to their fellowmen while living a life of humility, integrity, and compassion as exemplified by their patron saint, St. Theresa of Avila.

Vicky has decided to set up this Exchange Scholarship to honour her parents who ensured that she would get the best quality education they could afford to give her and in gratitude for having exposed her early in her youth to the challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship.
