About the Financial Award
Established in 2024, the Foo Biao Da and Kee Xiaolin Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. It aims to encourage bright undergraduates to aspire for academic excellence in spite of adversity and financial hardship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time Singaporean undergraduates enrolled in Lee Kong Chian School of Business
- With demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $8,500 per year (towards subsidised tuition fee)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

Foo Biao Da and Kee Xiaolin are proud alumni of SMU, having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management in 2009 and 2007 respectively. Leading a group of financial advisers, Biao Da has consistently demonstrated a commitment to helping his advisers and clients navigate their financial futures, while Xiaolin has made her mark as a dynamic entrepreneur, creating opportunities and fostering innovation in her field.
