About the Financial Award

Established in 2022, the GSP Grace Grant is available to full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at providing assistance to financially needy undergraduates and to motivate them to achieve greater heights of academic and practical excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business
  • Singapore Citizen
  • Demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries) [Priority will be given to students with verified per capita income (PCI) and/or Gross Household Income (GHI)]

Benefits

  • $9,600 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
  • Tenable for one year of study

Conditions of Award

  • The Recipient must submit a bursary application to validate their household income
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor

Established in 2022, the GSP Grace Grant is made possible by the owners of Green Standard Products Pte Ltd: Mr David Kong and his wife, Margaret. Both Singaporeans, they have a special interest in supporting the less privileged in the country they love. 

The endowed Grant is available to full-time Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. This is an extension of their desire to motivate and encourage undergraduate students to achieve greater heights of academic and practical excellence.
