About the Financial Award

The Isabel Chng Mui Lin Intellectual Property Book Grant is available to financially challenged Singaporean full-time Bachelor of Laws undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL) at the Singapore Management University and who took/are taking the Intellectual Property Law course offered by YPHSL in the year of award.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL) in any year of study
  • Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Taking the Intellectual Property Law course offered by YPHSLat the time of application
  • Demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $500 per award
  • Tenable for one term of study

Application 

  • Apply via student portal, OASIS (All Apps – Financial Aid Application), using student computer account username and password.
  • Application periods – in August/September (Term 1), January (Term 2) and April/May (Term 3A)

About the Donor

The Isabel Chng Mui Lin Intellectual Property Book Grant is supported by a memorial fund that is being established in honour of the late Isabel Chng Mui Lin, who passed away on 10 September 2012, to commemorate her significant contributions to the Singapore patent system, her zest for life, and in fond remembrance of her as an inspiring and beloved colleague and mentor.
