About the Financial Award

Established in 2021, the Leo Infocomm Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates from the School of Computing and Information Systems at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at encouraging financially needy students to focus on their academic studies during their course of study by providing them with financial support. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from the University’s School of Computing and Information Systems, enrolled either in BSc (Information Systems): IS Major; or BSc (Computer Science) programme.
  • Any nationality
  • Demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $5,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only).

The Leo Infocomm Study Award is supported by a gift from Leo Infocomm Pte Ltd, an IT Service Factory headquartered in Singapore (since 1997, acquired in 2017) with offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and China. Leo Infocomm provides IT Consultancy, Solutions & Services across the Asia-Pacific.

The objective of this Study Award is to allow the recipients from humble family backgrounds to focus on their studies and reflects the company’s belief in empowering the next generation of IT youths.
