About the Donor
Unlike his wife, Madam Tan Poey Quee, Mr Pang Leong Chwee was not highly educated. Nevertheless, with aspirations for his children's future, he took great interest in their education and managed to send his eldest son to the United Kingdom for further studies.
Mr Pang Leong Chwee passed away in his sleep at the age of 50 years while his youngest son, Mr Pang Kim Hin was only 16 years old.
This scholarship is established by Mr Pang Kim Hin, in honour of his dearly departed father, the late Mr Pang Leong Chwee, for his love he showered on him, when he was alive.
