About the Award
Established in 2014, the Pilot Pen Community Champion Award Scheme aims to recognise outstanding full-time undergraduates of the University who have demonstrated dedication and contributions to social service and community initiatives, despite facing adversity and financial hardship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates shall be full-time undergraduate students of any nationality at the University
- One outstanding student will be selected from each of the five categories listed below.
- Total recipients: 5 (one per category)
o Disability / Mental Health
o Elderly Issues
o Youths-at-Risk
o Low-Income Families / Single-Parent Families
o Environmental Advocacy / Migrant workers - The University’s Centre for Social Responsibility (C4SR) has set the guided criteria* as follows:
o Candidates shall make active and significant contributions to the community at-large impacting lives in Singapore.
o Candidates shall have outstanding CCA/community service contributions with proven leadership qualities.
o Candidates shall possess good character records.
o Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated financial needs.
o Candidates are required to present a report to the Donor on their community service involvement, subject to compliance with personal data protection or confidentiality obligations and restrictions. - Awards will be presented only where candidates meet the requisite standard of merit.

Cash Prize: S$2,000 (each category)
Application
- Applications will be invited in Term 2 annually.
- Interested applicants must provide documentary evidence in support of fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
