About the Award

Established in 2022, the Red Hat Award for Programming Fundamentals II is given annually to the best School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) student in the Programming Fundamentals II course offered by SCIS at the Singapore Management University.  It aims to motivate the University's exceptional students' talents in SCIS and spur them to greater heights of academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

The Award will be given annually to the SCIS student who achieved the best GPA in Programming Fundamentals II offered by SCIS and is enrolled in any of the following programmes:

  • Information Systems
  • Computing and Law
  • Computer Science
  • Software Engineering

The Award will only be given if there are candidates of sufficient merit.

Certificate and $2,000 Cash Prize

Learning and Development Opportunities

Recipient may be offered internship opportunity by the Donor under mutually agreed terms.

Application

Recipient will be determined by SCIS.
