“I have always wanted to pursue a degree in Economics, but I specifically chose SMU because the Economics degree offered at SMU is a Bachelor of Science degree as compared to the Bachelor of Arts degree offered by other universities. This allows me to learn about the qualitative as well as quantitative aspects of Economics here at SMU.”

Please share a highlight of your student life at SMU.

One of my key highlights in SMU is joining SMU Fencing. I was previously a fencer in junior college, so I decided to continue my fencing journey here at SMU and have found myself a tight-knit community here at SMU Fencing.

Have you had any international experiences at SMU so far?

I participated in SMU Diverse-City and got to experience and learn about different cultures from Cambodia to Vietnam and many other countries! Even though it was held online due to Covid-19, it was such a fun and enriching experience to go on virtual tours and have a tour guide bring us to tourist attractions in another country!

Name your favourite class/mod at SMU.

French - It was fun and refreshing to learn a new language!
