About the Financial Award
Established in 2022, the Red Hat Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates from the School of Computing & Information Systems at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed at motivating undergraduates enrolled in either the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) programme and specialising in Cyber-Physical Systems or Cybersecurity Tracks; or the Bachelor of Science (Software Engineering) SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree programme, to spur them on to greater heights of academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the scholarship recipients for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates from the School of Computing & Information Systems
- Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Proceeding to third year of study
- Enrolled in either the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) programme and specialising in Cyber-Physical Systems or Cybersecurity Tracks, or the Bachelor of Science (Software Engineering) SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree programme
- Good academic achievements (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40)

Benefits
- $12,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance (Singaporeans only), subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
