About the Financial Award

Established in 2008, the SAS Institute Scholarship is aimed at encouraging outstanding full-time undergraduates from the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) at the Singapore Management University and enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) and (Computer Science) programmes, to strive for and achieve both academic and professional excellence through leveraging on business intelligence related IT solutions for business innovation and value creation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from SCIS enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) or Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) programme
  • Proceeding to Year 3 or final year of study 
  • Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
  • Possess good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40)
  • Enrolled in the Analytics Foundation course
  • Enrolled in or will be taking the Applied Enterprise Analytics, a course jointly developed by SAS and SCIS, and complete group project using SAS applications/software.

Benefits

  • $12,000 (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.

Learning and Development opportunities

Scholars are encouraged to serve as SAS Ambassadors during the award tenure and to organise/participate in annual SAS Analytics Competition.
