About the Award

Established in 2007, the SMUSA Student Life Award seeks to recognise and support students who embraced a holistic and well-balanced education by venturing beyond academic studies and actively involving themselves in community work, CCAs or entrepreneurial pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates of any nationalities
  • Good CCA/community involvement with proven leadership qualities
  • Active involvement in community work, CCAs or entrepreneurial pursuits
  • Preference for students with demonstrated financial needs

The awards will only be given if there are candidates of sufficient merit.

Benefits

  • Cash Prize: S$1,000
  • May be required to work with SMUSA-BIZCOM in its operations/activities.

  1. Tell us how you have exhibited a passion to venture beyond academic study through active involvement in community work, co- curricular activity (CCA) or entrepreneurial pursuit to achieve a holistic and well-balanced education. For example, overseas community service assignments, involvement in organising student life activities such as Freshmen Team Building Camp.
  2. As you pursue your remaining course of study at SMU, how do you see yourself continuing this passion to pursue a holistic education?

  • Applications will be invited in Term 2 annually.
  • Interested applicants must provide documentary evidence in support of fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
