About the Financial Award

Established in 2021, the SMU EYE Investment Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at providing financial assistance to undergraduates and motivating them to achieve academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Any nationality
  • Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the SMU EYE Investment Club.
  • Preference would be given to applicants with demonstrable financial needs and from lower income families (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries).

Benefits

  • $10,666 per annum (disbursed as cash allowance)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • Singaporean students may apply for a government bursary to receive a cash allowance for the payment of tuition fees or additional living allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be offered mentorship by the group of alumni who are former members of the SMU EYE Investment Club.

About the Donor

Established by alumni from the SMU EYE Investment Club, comprising over 1,600 members and an alumni network spanning across 17 years, this endowment seeks to provide financial grant to deserving students who are in financial needs. The scholarship is modelled after the spirit of EYE Investment Club which seeks to provide a learning platform for anyone and everyone who is interested to learn regardless of their background.
