About the Financial Award
Established in 2023 in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the School of Social Sciences (SOSS) at the Singapore Management University, the SOSS Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates from SOSS. It aims to motivate financially needy undergraduates to achieve academic excellence and foster passion for the social sciences.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates from the School of Social Sciences
- Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents
- With demonstrated evidence of family financial hardships (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $10,300 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fee and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for one year of study
- May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only)
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.
