About the Financial Award

Established in 2022, the Tolaram Entrepreneurship Venture Award (supported by the Tolaram Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fund) is available to full-time undergraduates and postgraduates at the Singapore Management University.  The objective is to motivate outstanding students with demonstrated financial needs to pursue and realise their student entrepreneurship endeavours.

The Award will help the students' start-ups with market research, prototype testing, marketing collaterals and related efforts, as well as having mentors to work with them on their ventures.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates or postgraduates enrolled in any programme of study
  • Any nationality
  • Founders or co-founders of a registered start-up or business in Singapore
  • Registered a start-up or business to focus on own startup/venture during Term 3A, Term 3B, and Special Term (summer vacation period) in Singapore in the form of a local internship scheme under IIE.
  • With demonstrated financial needs (gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
