About the Grant

Established by Tote Board in 2021, this Grant aims to support the implementation of local community service projects by undergraduates, endorsed by the Centre for Social Responsibility (C4SR), at the Singapore Management University to build capacity in beneficiary communities.

Quantum

  • Up to $5,000 or 100% of approved costs per project, whichever is lower.
  • The Fund will be awarded at the project team level. It will be used to assist the students in meeting their project expenses in delivering effective programmes developed in tandem with the beneficiary organisation/ community.

Eligibility

  • Minimum team size of 5 undergraduates
  • C4SR endorsed community service projects is conducted in Singapore (physical/ virtual) for the local community.
  • Minimum project duration of 3 months

Conditions of Award

Within 2 months from project completion, the recipient project team must submit a project report, incorporating updates on their proposed project deliverables, estimated social impact and outreach, beneficiary feedback, final statement of accounts and receipts, and photographs of their community outreach experiences.

Repayment

  • No repayment is required
  • However, repayment is required in full or in part if the project is not carried out.
