About the Financial Award

Supported by funds contributed by the School's faculty, members of the legal fraternity and the community at large, the Yong Pung How School of Law Bursary is available to Bachelor of Laws undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law studying full-time at the Singapore Management University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law 
  • Any nationality
  • Active in community service
  • Preference will be given to applicants with gross monthly household income not exceeding the prevailing income tiers to qualify for government bursaries and/or applicants with evidence of financial hardship

Tenure and Benefits

  • Up to $8,200 (towards subsidised tuition fee)
  • Tenable for one year of study

Conditions of Award

  • May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.
