About the Donor

The Cheung Family Endowed Scholarship was established by Randy Cheung (BBM 2014) as a tribute to the transformative power of education in shaping his life.

Growing up in a lower-income household, Randy’s journey at SMU played a pivotal role in uplifting his family’s circumstances. Through the university’s unique pedagogy, global exposure, and the unwavering support of its dedicated staff and faculty, he gained invaluable skills that launched a rewarding career in funds management.

Grateful for the opportunities he was afforded, Randy is passionate about giving back to the next generation of students. The Cheung Family Endowed Scholarship, open to undergraduates in Year 3 and above, seeks to empower talented students from financially challenged backgrounds who have demonstrated resilience and determination to excel at SMU.
