ICTSI Foundation Scholarship

Established in 2024, the Scholarship is available to financially needy full-time Philippines undergraduates at SMU. The ICTSI Foundation, Inc. is one of several contributors to the SMU Philippine Community Fund. This visionary fund signifies a steadfast commitment to empower and uplift Filipino students embarking on their journey towards higher education at SMU and is dedicated to making a positive impact through educational advancement and catalysing industry growth. Through the generous support of our donors and industry leaders in the Philippines, an array of opportunities will be offered to brilliant Filipino students, including scholarships at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels, exchange scholarships, and innovation internship grants for all undergraduate students. With these diverse avenues for growth and learning, the SMU Philippine Community Fund will uplift the lives of students and the entire Filipino community and aims to shape future leaders and innovators who will bring about transformative change for the industry, community, and nation. 

• Citizens of the Philippines.
• Full-time incoming freshman enrolled in any degree programme.
• Good academic results in line with existing and prevailing University guidelines.
• Demonstrated financial needs throughout the Scholarship’s tenure, with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries.

• $20,000 per academic year (towards subsidised tuition fees)
• Tenable for up to 4 years of the recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.

ICTSI Foundation, Inc. is the corporate social responsibility arm of global port operator, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), that initiates, develops, coordinates, funds and implements programs and projects in the Philippines.

The Foundation was established in May 2009 to rationalize CSR initiatives across the ICTSI Group by identifying and espousing advocacies for youth development, environment protection and community welfare - adopting these advocacies as development pillars. ICTSI envisions sustained implementation of similarly focused CSR initiatives within its Philippine and global operations.

In partnership with SMU on establishing the SMU Philippine Community Fund, ICTSI Foundation, Inc. is one among 11 donors who believe in the utmost value of education as a catalyst for change not only for the lives of students but also for the development of industry, economy and country.
