About the Award
Supported by Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore, the IMDA Gold Medal Award is given annually to the best graduating Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) and Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) students from the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) at the Singapore Management University.
The award will be presented at SMU Commencement Ceremony (SCIS Undergraduate Ceremony).
Eligibility Criteria
The award will be given annually to a top graduating SCIS student, one each year from the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) and Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) programmes who best meet the following criteria:
- With excellent academic achievements
- Possesses leadership qualities and/or contribute to the SMU/SCIS in meaningful ways.
The award will only be given if there are candidates of sufficient merit.
Benefits
Certificate, Gold Medal and Cash Prize (totaling $2,500)
Application
- Applications will be invited annually in Term 2.
- Recipient will be determined by SCIS.

The IMDA develops and regulates the converging infocomm and media sectors in a holistic way, creating a dynamic and exciting sector filled with opportunities for growth, through an emphasis on talent, research, innovation and enterprise. As a statutory board in the Singapore government, it seeks to deepen regulatory capabilities for a converged infocomm media sector, safeguarding the interests of consumers and fostering pro-enterprise regulations.
