About the Donor
The Kho Yu & Chan Sook Lien Exchange Scholarship (许友调伉俪奖学金) is established by Mr David Kho in honour of his late parents, Mr Kho Yu and Mdm Chan Sook Lien. David believes an overseas exchange programme is a life-changing experience that broadens students’ horizons exponentially and helps in character-building. Fostering new friendships and building a network of international connections is another benefit. He hopes that this scholarship will ease the financial burden of needy students with aspirations of going overseas on an exchange programme. At the same time, this scholarship provides a platform for cultural exchange for SMU undergraduates at partner universities and Chinese undergraduates at SMU.
