About the Donors

Yeo Keng Joon, a committed supporter of education and global exposure, established the Kong Yuet Peng Student Exchange Grant at Singapore Management University (SMU) in celebration of his 50th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Kong Yuet Peng. In the early years of SMU, Yuet Peng, an adjunct professor, was a passionate advocate for international exchange opportunities. She continuously encouraged her students to embrace global exposure, believing it to be transformative for their personal and academic growth. She also went beyond words, offering financial support to those who lacked the means to study abroad.

In honour of her enduring commitment to her students and her vision for a globally connected future, Mr. Yeo created this grant to continue her legacy. The Kong Yuet Peng Student Exchange Grant will provide vital funding for students participating in SMU’s International Exchange Programme, empowering them to pursue opportunities they might otherwise miss.

Through this generous contribution, they aim to inspire future generations of students to broaden their horizons and develop a deeper understanding of the world. Their vision is simple: to nurture future leaders who are globally aware, culturally adept, and equipped to make a lasting impact in their careers and communities.
