About the Financial Award

Established in 2018, the Kwai Fong & Raymond Goh SMU-XO Grant is available to full-time needy Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  The grant seeks to provide financial support to those who are financially disadvantaged and in need of financial assistance to participate in SMU-XO study mission trips within Asia

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Be enrolled into an SMU-X study mission trip to a country in Asia
  • Singapore Citizen
  • Evidence of financial neediness - demonstrated evidence of family household income where the gross monthly per capita income is in accordance with prevailing Singapore Ministry of Education guidelines [Priority will be given to students with verified per capita income (PCI) and/or Gross Household Income (GHI)]

Benefits

  • S$2,000 (cash allowance)
  • Tenable for the approved overseas student programme

Conditions of Award

  • The Recipient must submit a bursary application to validate their household income
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

About the Donor

Mr Raymond Goh and his wife, Kwai Fong Goh, recognize the increasing importance for our students to know ASEAN economies and businesses, and appreciate the different cultures in order to build their knowledge and acquire real-life problem-solving skills.  The gift of Mr and Mrs Goh will empower students with financial challenges through wider access to exposure in the ASEAN countries and learning beyond the classroom.
