About the Financial Award

Established in 2018, the Kwai Fong & Raymond Goh SMU-XO Grant is available to full-time needy Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  The grant seeks to provide financial support to students who are financially disadvantaged and in need of financial assistance to participate in SMU-X study mission trips to ASEAN countries.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Be enrolled into an SMU-X study mission trip to a country in Asia
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Gross monthly household per capita income not exceeding $1,500
  • Evidence of financial neediness

Students who have met the global exposure graduation requirement are not eligible (excluding participation in university-approved overseas community service projects).

Benefits

  • Up to $1,000 (cash allowance)
  • Tenable for the approved overseas student programme

About the Donor

Mr Raymond Goh and his wife, Kwai Fong Goh, recognize the increasing importance for our students to know ASEAN economies and businesses, and appreciate the different cultures in order to build their knowledge and acquire real-life problem-solving skills.  The gift of Mr and Mrs Goh will empower students with financial challenges through wider access to exposure in the ASEAN countries and learning beyond the classroom.
